Introduction
These are great tasting and way less fattening than those premade burgers you can buy. I served mine with pepper jack cheese, thin slicesof onion, red bell pepper and spring mix greens on a toasted wheat bun. SOOO YUMMY!! Ingredients
-
Ground Turkey
Ground 97/3 sirloin
LIPTON ONION SOUP MIX ( 2 envelopes)
Garlic, minced ( 2 tbsp)
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes ( 1 tbsp)
Cayanne Pepper ( 1 tsp)
Eggs ( 2 large)
green bell pepper, ( 1cup chopped)*************************************
Garnishings:
I like this burger with deli sliced Pepper Jack cheese, red bell pepper slices, and spring green mix on toasted wheat buns ( THESE INGREDIENTS ARE NOT IN THIS RECIPES SO THEIR CALORIES ARE NOT REFLECTED IN THE CALORIE COUNT)
Directions
You are going to get dirty making this! In a large bowl combine eggs, ground turkey and sirloin. ( you can use more turkey than sirloin or omit either one of the meats..my husband is opposed to ground turkey so I mixed them ). Once combine throughly add the 2 envelopes of LIPTON ONION SOUP MIX, garlic, crushed red pepper flakes and cayanne pepper. MIx throughly again add chopped green bell pepper ( used ones I grew myself). Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refridgerate for at least 30 minutes, longer the better as it lets the flavors mingle and marinate. When grill is ready make into 12 thick patties ( you can make more patties if you'd like my husband just prefers thick ones). Grill as normal. For garnish see above suggestion.
