Introduction

A simple but authentic rice pilaf with a lot of taste. Perfect side dish since it won't overwhelm other flavors of meats or sauces. A simple but authentic rice pilaf with a lot of taste. Perfect side dish since it won't overwhelm other flavors of meats or sauces.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 teaspoon butter
    .25 ounces (small handle) thin spaghetti crushed into inch-long pieces
    1 cup long grain white rice
    2 cups water
    .5 teaspoon salt
    1 chicken bouillon cube

Directions

Melt the butter in a large pot over medium. When melted completely, add the thin spaghetti and stir constantly, until golden, but not burned. Add the rice and stir to coat with butter.

Pour in 2 cups water and add the salt and bouillon cube. Stir well. Once rice starts to boil, reduce heat to a simmer, cover partially and do not touch until water is completely absorbed, approximately 20 minutes.

Before serving, stir rice to fluff.
