Introduction

Healthier version of my old favorite wintertime sweet! Healthier version of my old favorite wintertime sweet!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 cup Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 cups whole cranberries from fresh or frozen
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    1/2 cup Smart Balance Light, melted
    3 egg whites
    1/2 tsp almond extract

Directions

Grease 9" pie plate.
Combine flour, sugar and salt.
Add cranberries and walnuts and toss to coat.
Stir in wet ingredients.
Spread into pie plate.
Bake 350 deg for 40 mins.

Makes 8 servings

** serve warm with at sprinkle of powdered sugar for a delightful treat. (Or with whipped cream/ice cream for added calories. LOL)
