Introduction

i love stuffed peppers but needed a healthier way to enjoy them. i love stuffed peppers but needed a healthier way to enjoy them.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    3/4 lbs. of ground turkey
    2 tbsps of chopped onion
    1 tsp minced garlic
    1 green pepper and 1 red pepper halved and seeded
    1/4 cup egg beaters
    salt and pepper to taste

    sauce:
    1 can of tomato paste
    1 tsp splenda
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

pre-heat oven to 350.

mix together ground turkey, onion, garlic, egg beaters, salt and pepper. make four patties and stuff in each of the pepper halves.

in a saucepan put tomato paste and 2 cans of water(tomato paste can). turn burner on medium and heat until tomato paste is mixed in with water. add splenda, salt and pepper.

put stuffed peppers in a casserole dish. pour sauce over peppers. cover with foil and bake for 30 mins. uncover and bake for 15 more minutes.

makes 4 servings.
