Introduction

Ingredients

    Turkey breast meat, 32 ounce(s)
    Barley, pearled, cooked, .5 cup
    Canned Tomatoes, 1 medium can
    Celery, raw, 2 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long)
    Vegetable Juice Cocktail (V8), 12 fl oz
    Split Peas, .34 cup
    Swanson Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free, 1 can
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Oregano, ground, .5 tsp
    Basil, .08 tbsp
    Broth from boiled giblets (chill and remove fat), 2 cup
    Broth from cooked turkey (remove fat), 1 cup (8 fl oz)
    2 Bay leaves

Directions

Prep:
Boil the giblets for a couple of hours; cool and remove the fat.
Do the same with the turkey drippings (mix with water if thick).
Once ingredients are assembled:
Combine ingredients and simmer till done. Add extra water as needed to make 16 one-cup servings.
