Introduction

Spicy low cal low fat cheese sauce. Strong enough to even cover the taste of cauliflower, which is a necessity in our house. Spicy low cal low fat cheese sauce. Strong enough to even cover the taste of cauliflower, which is a necessity in our house.

Ingredients

    1/4 cup skim milk powder
    2 T flour
    1/4 t salt
    1/2 t garlic powder
    1/2 t oregano
    1/4 t basil
    1/4 t cayenne pepper
    1/8 t coarse ground black pepper
    1 cup skim milk
    1/3 cup (36 gm) shredded low fat sharp cheddar
    1 t dry mustard

Directions

In a medium saucepan, whish together dry ingredients. gradually add skim milk. bring to boil, stirring. cook 5 minutes. stir in cheese until melted. serve over cauliflower, brussel sprouts, or any other veggie that you want to cover the flavor of.

This made about 10 ounces (ergo 10 1 oz servings). I froze the leftovers in an ice cube tray (approx 1/2 oz per cube) to use in small batches later.
