Number of Servings: 4


    1 c. wild rice
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 1/2 tbsp. butter, divided
    Salt to taste
    1 small red onion, diced
    2 cloves of garlic, minced
    1 tbsp. soy sauce
    1 tsp. brown sugar
    2 tbsp. red wine


To make rice:
Bring rice, chicken broth, 1/2 tbsp. butter, and salt to a boil. Reduce heat and cover, cooking according to package directions.
For the Saute:
Meanwhile, prep your veggies and start the saute. In a large saute pan melt 1 tbsp. butter and add garlic and onions and saute on med-high heat for about 5-8 mins. Add cooked rice to garlic and onions and stir in the remaining ingredients. Continue to cook on the med-high heat for another 5-10 mins or until most of the liquid has evaporated.
Remove from heat and serve.

    how can this only be 13 carbs. Rice is way more than 13 carbs and this is not including the veggies?

    I am seeing a lot of recipes where the carb count just does not seem correct at all.
