Ingredients

    1 Cup White Flour
    1 Cup Wheat Flour
    1/3 cup sugar
    1 Tbls Baking Powder
    1/4 Tsp salt
    1 Tsp Cinnamon
6 Tbls Crisco shortening butter flavored or you can use butter of margarine
    2/3 cup Skim Milk
    1 Egg
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly. Cut shortening into dry ingredients or mix with your hands until crumbly. In a small bowl combine skim milk, egg slightly beaten and vanilla extract. Fold wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix with wooden spoon. Using your hands form dough into an 8 inch circle. If dough is sticky use a little flour to make it easier to work with. Cut 8 triangles in the dough. Place scones on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes 8 scones.
