Ingredients

    50 grams butter
    60 grams flour
    6 fl oz half & half
    1 litre (4 cups) chicken or vegetable bouillion
    2 tablespoons whole grain (grainy) mustard (not smooth or yellow mustard) A poupon is the best to use.
    50 grams of canadian bacon (diced fine) or you can add leeks

Directions

Makes 4 - 1 cup servings

Melt butter and flour make a roux.. slowly add the bouillion whisking so that you don't get lumps. Add sauted bacon pieces. (leave out for vegetarians). Add the 2 tbls of mustard (grain mustard (not smooth) is what is used) Let cook for 10 minutes. Last add the half & half. I just let it heat a minute or two, but do not boil.
