Introduction

Ingredients

8 oz self-raising flour
4 oz margarine
4 oz caster sugar
4 eggs
2 heaped tsps baking powder
2 dessert spoons of options belgian hot chocolate
for cream
4 oz margarine
2 oz icing sugar
Directions
1. Heat the oven to 185 Deg C
2. Grease and line an 8" round or square/oblonge cake tin.
3. Mix the margarine and caster sugar till light and fluffy.
4. Make up the hot chocolate powder with 2 tbsp boiling water - or until a smooth paste.
5. Add the hot chocolate mix into the margarine/sugar mixture.
6. Mix in the flour and egg little at a time till until all in and the mixture is a firm texture - empty into the baking tin.
7. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes at 185 Deg C.
8. When cake is ready remove onto a wire rack and leave to cool.
For the cream
1. Mix together the margarine and icing sugar till they make a cream - taste to make sure that there are no granules in the mixture.
2. Cut the cake in half and spread the cream mixture then put the cake back together.
3. sprinkle icing sugar & hot chocolate mixed together over the top of the cake - you only need a little.
