Introduction

This is soup about as quick as you can make it. It has that great TexMex flavor we all love. This is soup about as quick as you can make it. It has that great TexMex flavor we all love.

Ingredients

    1 Jar Newman's Salsa, hot or mild
    1 can chicken broth
    1 4oz. boneless, skinless chicken breast
    2 oz. tortilla chips
    1 tsp. cumin powder
    4 T. shredded cheddar or jack cheese

    Makes 4 servings.

Directions

Cook and flake chicken breast and set aside. Combine salsa and chicken broth in a medium saucepan. Add chicken. Bring to a slow simmer. Add half tortilla chips, crushed. Simmer an additional 5-10 minutes. Top each serving with a sprinkling of remaining tortilla chips and 1 tablespoon of grated cheese.
