Introduction

The McDonalds Fruit n' Yogurt Parfait is a great snack, but it's got a lot of calories for such a tiny little thing. This dish is a much larger, more filling portion with 10 fewer calories than the McD's parfait, 2 more grams of protein, less fat, and nearly the exact same taste and texture! Ingredients

    6 frozen strawberries, unsweetened
    1 packet Splenda no-calorie sweetener
0.75 c. Dannon Light & Fit Nonfat Vanilla Yogurt
0.25 c. Special K Vanilla Almond Cereal, crushed
2 grams Dark Chocolate, grated (optional, but included in recipe totals)

Directions

1. Place frozen strawberries in a bowl. Run hot water over them, and drain immediately. Do not dry.
2. Sprinkle strawberries with Splenda, and mix well. Let sit for a couple minutes. The leftover hot water, Splenda, and juice from the strawberries will make a bit of light syrup in the bottom of the bowl
3. Remove strawberries, and cut into thirds or fourths.
4. Add yogurt to bowl, right into the strawberry "syrup". Top with strawberry pieces, crushed cereal, and grated chocolate. Serve immediately.

You'll find that the syrup and the still partially frozen strawberries perfectly simulate the berries in the Fruit & Yogurt Parfait, while the crushed cereal provides the same sweetness and crunch you get from the granola! Num num.
