Ingredients
-
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp powdered milk
a dash of vanilla extract (experimenting with other flavours is nice too)
a dash of salt
a dash of cinnamon (or nutmeg)
a tiny dash of chili powder (its optional!)
2 cups of hot water
sweeten to taste (I use sucralose but anything would work)
Directions
If I have the time, I boil the water in a sauce pan and then add the cinnamon. The flavour of the spice really comes alive this way and the aroma fills my kitchen nicely. I then whisk the milk powder and cocoa powder into the water, add the salt, vanilla, and chili powder. I pour it into a mug and add splenda until it suits my mood.
If i'm feeling especially lazy I heap the dry ingredients into a mug, add hot water, stir, and go about my life.
This makes 2 mugs of hot chocolate
