Ingredients

    1.5 tbsp veggie oil
    1.5 cups broccoli
    1 cup Bok Choy
    1 Jalepeno Pepper
    1 cup Snap Peas
    2 Garlic Cloves
    8 oz sirloin
    2 tbsp Mae Ploy
    1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
    2 tbsp cilantro
    2 cups brown rice

Directions

Chop veggies into bite sice pieces. Dice garlic and jalapeno. Heat wok or large pan on high. Add 1 tbsp of veggie oil and sautee broccoli for 1 minute. Add the rest of the veggies and saute for an additional 3 minutes. Add the garlic and saute for 1 minute. Remove veggie mixture from pan and place in a bowl. Cover with saran wrap to allow the veggies to steam. Add remaining oil and thinly sliced sirloin. Saute about 3 minutes. Drain sirloin and place in separate bowl. Wipe out the pan with a paper towel. Put the steamfresh rice in the microwave and cook to bags instructions. Add the sauces (Mae Ploy, Hoisin, soy sauce, and water) and heat for 2- 3 minutes, until the sauce thickens. Add the beef and chopped cilantro back into the sauce and stir. Serve veggies and beef over the rice. Makes about 2 servings.

Actually these ingrediants are VERY common in Asian cooking. They all came from the regular grocery store. As for the calorie count, I am on a 1600 calorie meal plan and it fits in very well. There are tons of veggies and whole grains in this recipe. Weight loss and management is all about balance!
