Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 pound lean hamburger
    1 head cabbage
    1 cup brown rice (cooked)
    1/2 cup chopped onions
    1 can tomato soup
    2 tablespoons ketchup
    2 cups V8 juice
    salt and pepper to taste
    sprinkle garlic powder

Directions

Freeze cabbage over night and thaw (Do not thaw in microwave)
mix onions, rice, ketchup, hamburger, and spices together. Peel thawed leaves off the cabbage and wrap meat mixture into a roll. Try to keep all rolls about the same size. Layer in roasting pan, cover with tomato soup and V8 jiuce. Bake at 350 for about 1.5 hours, checking to make sure it doesn't dry out, add water if gets to dry. Works wonderful in crock pot as well, on low for 8 hours. Can be doubled.

    the recipe is not the best..never heard of freezing the cabbage, like the other person I cooked my cabbage, steamed it..

    and used tomato sauce..I dont like V-8 ..to much sodium..

    Incredible!
    Amazing! My husband and I absolutely loved it. Only difference is I boiled the cabbage leaves for 2 minutes instead of freezing and we used grass feed beef from farmers market. Also basted throughout the hour and a half as the top started getting dry. Will absolutely make again! - 10/25/15
