This is an amazingly delicious family recipe we had at almost every summer barbeque, picnic, reunion or shower. You couldn't go wrong bringing this dish to pass and it never lasted long. Ingredients

1 medium size head lettuce, chopped
1 small onion, minced
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 cup chopped celery
1 cups (LITE) Real Mayonnaise
1/2 cup nonfat Sour Cream
3 Tblsp Sugar or Splenda to keep calories low
1/2 to 1 lb. bacon, fried crisp and crumbled (NOTE: Turkey bacon or less fat substitute can be used - calculation is for less fat)
8 oz. lo fat cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions
Spread vegetables in order given in layers in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
Combine mayonnaise, sour cream and Splenda or sugar and spread over vegetables.
Sprinkle bacon over the top, then sprinkle shredded cheese over that.
Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours, 24 hours is better. The more the flavors meld, the better the salad tastes.
