    1 cup sugar
    .5 cup butter or margarine
    .5 cup peanut butter
    .25 cup water
    1 tbsp vanilla
    1 egg
    1.25 cup whole wheat flour
    .25 cup soy flour
    1 cup old fashioned or quick cooking oats
    .5 tsp baking soda and salt
    4 cups cheerios


Heat oven to 375. Stir together sugar, butter, peanut butter, water, vanilla, and egg in a large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients except cereal. Gently stir in cereal. Pour into ungreased 9x13 pan or drop by rounded 1/4 cup full and flatten. Bake 11 to 13 minutes until golden brown.

    I was very happy to see that the serving size was actually realistic for this recipe! This is a very fun, easy, and tasty recipe. I'd definitely make it again. I didn't have soy flour, so I just substituted whole grain flour instead, and it turned out just fine. - 9/12/09

    I substituted the Cheerios for Cascadian Farms Honey Nut O's and they are a hit with my kids. I like them too! Nice to have a recipe like this that is healthier than others. - 1/6/11
