Introduction

This is a variation of a recipe I found made to cut out the high sodium that was in the original and more to my taste. I will be trying this tonight. This is a variation of a recipe I found made to cut out the high sodium that was in the original and more to my taste. I will be trying this tonight.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1/2 pound fresh green beans, cut into 1-inch lengths
    2 carrots, cut into thick strips
    3 garlic cloves, or to taste
    1/4 cup butter
    1 onion, sliced
    1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
    1/4 teaspoon white pepper

Directions

1. Place green beans and carrots in 1 inch of boiling water. Cover, and cook until tender but still firm. Drain.
2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute onions, mushrooms and garlic until almost tender. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 3 minutes. Stir in green beans, carrots, seasoned salt, and white pepper. Cover, and cook for 5 minutes over medium heat.

    Good recipe and loved the combination of vegetables. Might try it next time with olive oil or a little less butter. My husband really enjoyed it. - 5/31/09
