Introduction
Good and filling! My husband enjoyed it, as well. You can substitute any 35-calorie a slice bread. If you choose not to use the wheat germ, the fiber is reduced by a 1/2 gram. Good and filling! Ingredients
-
1/3 c Egg Beaters
1/3 c Lactaid Fat Free Milk
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp wheat germ (optional)
3 slices Healthy Life 100% Whole Wheat Bread
Directions
Makes 1 3-piece serving.
Mix Egg Beaters, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and wheat germ; beat until lightly frothy. Dip bread into egg mixture, then cook over low heat on a griddle sprayed with Pam cooking spray. The wheat germ tends to sink, so you may need to spread it onto the bread. Cook until no longer wet in the center (note: this may take a little while).
Serve with your favorite French Toast topping. I use Cary's Sugar Free syrup.
