Introduction

NOT A DIET FOOD - I love this recipe, but it's one to save for those days you feel like splurging. Between the meat and the cheese in this recipe, the calories get pretty high for one meal. Ingredients

4 oz. ground beef, leaner the better
    1 c. water
1/2 c. spaghetti sauce (recipe in my recipe box)
2 T Hamburger Helper powder mix (recipe in my recipe box)
    1 T Parmesan cheese, grated
2/3 c. uncooked pasta of your choice (I usually use penne or egg noodles)
1/2 c. mozzarella cheese (you can cut down on this, I like mine really cheesy)

Directions

Brown meat in medium sized skillet. Add water, Hamburger Helper powder mix, parmesan cheese, and spaghetti sauce. Mix together and bring to a boil. Add uncooked pasta. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, until pasta is done. (The amount of water can vary depending on the pasta used, I recommend starting with less than the listed 1 cup and then add more as the pasta cooks, otherwise you could end up with al dente pasta and a watery mess - yuck). Once pasta is done, turn off heat. Add mozzarella cheese, cover skillet, and let sit until cheese is nearly melted (or as long as you can stand to wait.) Stir the cheese into the lasagna slop and serve.

Makes 1 larger serving, like I said, this one is for splurging only! It will kill your calories for the day!
