Introduction

This is a tasty twist on baked apples. Once baked, the filling puffs out the top and just begs to be eaten. So good - your family will love it! This is a tasty twist on baked apples. Once baked, the filling puffs out the top and just begs to be eaten. So good - your family will love it!

Ingredients

One medium apple, cored - I like a tart apple, like Jonathan, McIntosh, or Rome Beauty
1 Tbsp lowfat cream cheese (cooks better than the fat free)
    1 Tbsp powdered sugar
    2 tsp fat free milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Core the apple all the way through - no need to fill the bottom - contents will stay put

Mix the cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy. Add milk and mix until smooth.

Fill the apple with the cream cheese mixture. Bake in a pie plate or other small baking dish for 30 -40 min or until the apple is tender when pierced with a fork. (Time varies with variety and size of apple).
