Ingredients
-
1 loaf Rhodes frozen bread dough
1/4 Cup Butter
1 Cup Brown sugar
2 TB milk, cream, or half and half
1 small box Vanilla Pudding--cook and serve variety--NOT sugar free/fat free/instant
1/4 tsp cinnamon (as desired)
Directions
Thaw loaf of bread in refrigerator overnight in greased dish covered with greased/sprayed plastic wrap or follow speed thaw method on back of package. Do not let dough rise. Only thawed.
Cut or pull pieces of bread and scatter randomly in 8 or 9 inch sprayed pan.
In dish, melt butter, add remaining ingredients, mix thoroughly. Spoon over bread dough. Cover and let rise in warm draft free area till doubled in size, appxm. 2-3 hours. ( I preheat my oven to 200 F, then SHUT OFF, and let uncovered pan rest and rise in there)
After rising, turn oven on to 350, bake for 25 minutes.
Invert pan onto serving plate and serve warm with a big cup of milk or coffee.

I'm wondering why you would say NO sugar-free pudding mix? - 11/8/09
Reply from DEBQUINNDQ (11/8/09)
the sweetening agents in the sugar free turn bitter and the mix "curdles" when you sub it. If you can figure out a way to do it with a sugar free version, please let me know, I'm always game for sparing calories!
