*Ground Beef 93% Lean, 16 oz )
Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
Garlic, 3 tsp
Paprika, 1 tbsp
Pepper, black, 1 tbsp
Oregano, ground, 1 tbsp
Pepper, red or cayenne, 1 tsp
Worcestershire Sauce, 6 tsp
*Egg white, 1/3 cup
Bread crumbs, dry, grated, plain, 1/3 cup
Directions
Yeild: 6 burgers. I used a 1/3 cup measure to make the meat patties.
Mix all ingrediets together. You can use more or less of the spices to your taste. If you prefer to use a whole egg instead of the egg whites, use I large egg.
The burgers are tasty without all the fat.
Take 1/3 cup of the meat mixture make it into a patty and either grill on your barbecue grill or put it on a sheet pan sprayed with pam in the oven. About 1/2 through the cooking time, flip them over. We like our burgers medium, shorten your time if you like them a little less done.
I served my burgers with my recipe for Oven Baked Fries.
Enjoy

My family did not like these burgers at all. I think the choice of spices is great; however, the proportions seem way off. 4+ tbsp of dry spices is a LOT for only 1 lb of meat. It tasted like we were eating paprika meatloaf. Tsp would make more sense than tbsp in this recipe (btw, 3 tsp = 1 tbsp.) - 3/27/15

These are super quick and easy for when I don't really feel like making a song and dance with dinner. I buy all my ground beef from Costco so it comes in 1lb packs, I just have to thaw it and I'm good to go! I sauteed the onions and garlic in a bit of olive oil until soft to add a bit more flavor. - 5/10/16

Tried this last night. I would go less on the Cayenne for those who don't care for that extra kick. I diced red onion and it ended up being a lot of onion. Instead of using 1 cup of onion, I would suggest using 1/2 - 3/4 cup. I put the patties on a grill pan on the stove. They were great! :-) - 9/26/12
