Number of Servings: 32

Ingredients

    2 cups white flour
    2 cups whole wheat flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    2 cups honey
    1 tsp. molasses
    1/4 cup applesauce OR pineapple juice
    6 egg whites + 1 egg
    1 cup milk
    29 oz. can of pumpkin
    1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or less if you prefer)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350
Combine dry ingredients and set aside. Mix wet ingredients together and slowly add dry. Spoon batter into 2 (9x5 inch) loaf pans that have been greased. Bake for 45-60 min. until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool loaves in pans on wire rack for 10 min. Remove from pans and cool loaves completely.
Yield: 2 loaves, 16 slices per loaf (serving size 1 slice)
