Introduction

Wonderful--will make you want to lick the plate! I eat it with plenty of fall veggies (or butternut squash soup--yum!) and a slice of whole wheat bread. Ingredients

1 Tbsp. canola oil (or similar neutral oil)
3 3 oz. boneless pork loin chops (or any kind of pork chop)
    1/2 c. maple syrup
    1/4 c. water
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. dijon mustard

Directions

Makes 3 pork chops

1. Put oil in a skillet and heat over medium heat.
2. When the oil is hot, put in chops (careful! They might pop) and sear on both sides until browned.
3. Remove chops and put on plate.
4. Mix remaining ingredients together in a small bowl, and then add to skillet.
5. Scrape bottom of skillet with an egg turner to turn up caramelized juices from the chops.
6. Add chops back to skillet and turn stove to Low.
7. Simmer chops for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking. The syrup sauce will reduce and thicken as it cooks.

    Very Good
I made this for dinner last night and both my husband and I enjoyed it immensely. I used sugar free maple syrup and since I didn't have a garlic clove, used garlic salt instead. That was good, since I am not overly fond of garlic. It doesn't say what size chop makes a serving, but I had 3 oz. - 10/14/09
