Ingredients

1.5 c Long grain brown rice, dry
    3 c. water
    1 medium onion, sliced
    .25 c chopped garlic
    Ginger root, 1 inch grated
    4 carrots, sliced on bias
2 broccoli stalks, sliced on bias
    2 cups shredded cabbage
    3 T Oyster sauce
    soy sauce to taste
sriracha hot chili sauce to taste
1 T Veg or Canola oil
    .5 tsp sesame oil
    2 T sesame seed, toasted
2 stalks green onion, thinly sliced on bias

Directions

Cook brown rice according to directions (I like the microwave for 20 minutes, first 15 n high, last five at 50%).

In a hot wok add veg oil. Then add onions, stirring constantly. The n garlic, ginger, carrots and broccoli stalks, stirring constantly until two-thirds cooked. Add cabbage and rice, stirring constantly. Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, sirachi and maybe a little sugar substitute, if it tastes like it needs more sweetness. When rice is heated and cabbage is just cooked viola. Finish by mixing in the sesame oil and maybe a dash or two of five-spice-powder, if you have it.

Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Makes 12 3/4-cup servings.
