Introduction

This is a really yummy and filling pizza! This is a really yummy and filling pizza!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Crust:
    1.5 cups warm water
    1 Tbsp (1pkg) yeast
    1 tsp salt
    2 Tbsp honey
    2 Tbsp canola oil
    4 cups flour (2 white, 2 whole wheat)

    Sauce:
    ~20 oz. canned tomatoes - mixture of crushed and diced
    1 Tbsp tomato paste
    .5 tsp chopped garlic
    .5 tsp basil
    salt, pepper, and other spices to taste (hot sauce, red pepper flakes, etc)

    Toppings:
    pepperoni
    mushrooms
    olives
    mozzarella cheese

Directions

Crust:
Mix 1st four ingredients until yeast is dissolved. Add oil and flour, knead well. Cover and let rise 15 minutes. Grease pizza pan and pat dough in; bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees.

Sauce:
Mix all ingredients and bring to a bubble on medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes-1hour. (I make a double batch and freeze the rest for another time)

Toppings:
Spread sauce on baked crust, add toppings as desired.
