Ingredients

    1.25 cups flour
    .25 cup sugar
    .25 cup brown sugar blend
    .5 Tbsp. baking powder
    .5 tsp vanilla
    .25 tsp salt
    .25 tsp ground cinnamon
    1 cup mashed banana (approximately 1 lg or 2 med)
    .5 cup low fat butter milk
    .5 cup simply jif peanut butter
    1.5 Tbsp. unsweetened applesauce
    2 Tbsp. egg beater
    .5 cup chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F

Spray 9x5 loaf pan with flour-added cooking spray or just grease the pan.

Mix together flour, sugars, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.

In another bowl, mix mashed bananas, milk, peanut butter, applesauce, vanilla and egg beater.

Add banana mixture to the flour mixture and stir it until it is just combined.

Add in the chocolate chips and stir.

Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake it for 50-55 minutes. Use a toothpick or cake tester and insert in the middle . If it comes out clean, the bread is done.

Allow the loaf to cool in the loaf pan for 10 minutes before removing from the pan and allowing to cool fully on a wire rack.

    I had to reduce the calories in this recipe. It was just to high for me because I can't do somethng like this in moderation. I used half wheat flour, 2 tbsp Truvia baking blend instead of sugar, skim milk for the butter milk , 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips, reduce fat PB and 2 egg white's. luv it! - 11/10/12

    Great! Made changes because I needed lower calories and portion control. Swapped out buttermilk for almond milk, Sugar for Splenda, used an egg (didn't have egg eaters on hand) and instead of peanut butter I used peanut powder. I forgot to add the butter and they were still great! I baked them in m - 3/20/16
