Ingredients

    3 cups self rising flour
    3 tbsp sugar
    12oz beer
    1/4 cup butter

Directions

Mix flour, sugar, and beer together. Spread into a greased loaf pan.

Melt butter and pour on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Best served warm.

    Oh Wow! I used to have beer bread all the time with potjie all the time when I lived in South Africa. This is the first recipe I've seen for it tho. TY so much for posting it! - 1/18/10
