Introduction

Basic tuna melt with spinach open-faced Basic tuna melt with spinach open-faced
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

2 slices Healthy Life 35 Calorie Whole Wheat Bread (1 serving)
1 can Tuna canned in water
    2 tbsp Light Mayo
    1 tsp Yellow Mustard
    0.5 tsp Garlic Powder
    0.5 tsp Black Pepper
    0.5 cup Fresh Spinach
    2 American Cheese slices

Directions

Toast the bread lightly. Meanwhile, mix the tuna, mayo, mustard, pepper, garlic, and spinach in a bowl. Split the tuna mixture between the two toasted bread slices. Broil for a minute or two until tuna is warm. Add a cheese slice to each half. Broil until cheese is bubbly.

Calculated as 1 serving for a hefty lunch or dinner. Can easily have just one slice with a salad on the side to lower calorie count.

You may adjust/add seasonings; I like a lot of black pepper and garlic with my tuna.
