Introduction

In September my parents became Vegan for heart health reasons and my mom created some great vegan recipes like this one for Vegan Chili. Being a vegitarian, this is a great option for me when I get a hankering for some chili :] Plus, it's quick and easy!!

P.S. Ignore the nutritional info box at the right, that's only for the sauce, I've included the nutritional info at the bottom of the cooking instructions.

Ingredients

Prego Heart Smart Italian Sauce (4lb 3oz Bottle)
LightLife Smart Ground Veggie Protein Crumbles (16oz box)
Bush's Cannellini (White Kidney Beans) (15.5oz can)
Bush's Chili Beans (Red Beans in Chili Sauce- Mild Sauce) (16oz can)
    Bush's Black Beans (26.5oz can)
    Smucker's Grape Jelly (2 Tbs)
    Seasoning to taste

Add peppers and onions if you like... I would but my dad isn't a big fan of either... I would reccommend it though ;]

Directions

First, empty 2 cups of veggie protein crumbles into a big pot and brown.
Then empty the whole bottle of sauce into the pot, and add 2 tablespoons of grape jelly. This doesn't effect the taste at all, but it's a little secret that helps cut the acidity of the sauce, ergo no heartburn ;)
Then add the beans and let it cook (simmer to medium) for 20 minutes.
Finally, ENJOY!
