Ingredients

    ¡á1 pound seitan (the White Wave brand is good), sliced into strips
    ¡á¨ö onion, sliced into half rounds
    ¡á8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
    ¡á1 bell pepper, seeded and sliced thin
    ¡á2 carrots, sliced
    ¡á2 celery stalks, sliced
    ¡á1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    ¡á1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
    ¡á2 tablespoons low-sodium tamari and 1 tablespoon brown sugar, combined
    ¡á3 cups cooked brown rice
    ¡á1 bunch basil for garnish, rinsed and sliced

Directions

Heat a large, sprayed skillet or wok for 3 minutes.

Add the first nine ingredients in the order listed, stirring for 1 minute after each addition.

Serve warm over rice. Garnish with basil.
