I didn't see a recipe anywhere online that would yield the kind of brownies I wanted with the kind of numbers I wanted, so I experimented.
These are made the way I learned how to make gourmet brownies, melting the chocolate & fat and adding the wet, then dry ingredients. The results is a dense, fabulous death by chocolate brownie you & the kids will love. Just don't tell them what's in it!
Average brownies have about 312 calories; 123 fat calories; 31g cholesterol; 47g carbs; 2g fiber; 33g sugars; 3g protein - these nutrition numbers are quite a bit better!

Most of the ingredients in this recipe are alkalizing, with the exception of the chocolate chips, but they should be largely mitigated by the highly alkaline ingredients. 'Soaking' or rehydrating the coconut flour helps reduce the graininess and give a finer textured product. Simply mix the coconut flour with the liquids and let sit for 15 minutes then proceed with the recipe.
Good for failure to thrive and other instances where calories and protein are necessary in higher amounts and lower volumes.
I'm a carb lover, this isn't the greatest, but while on a low carb diet it sure helps to satisfy cravings.
This protein-packed chocolate yogurt tastes just like pudding! It also makes a great lighter dessert option.
