This dessert fruit salad is made for special occassions as it is very rich. I will make it next time using reduced calorie/fat products to see if there is a taste difference in recipes. I know from past experience, there is no difference in the texture. The nutritional values are calculated without the coconut, as I do not like it, lol.
I got the recipe from Gold Medal Flour for their Extraordinary Chocolate chip cookie recipe. But instead of using butter I used shortening and reduced the amount of flour from 4 cups to 2 cups (1 cup white flour, 1 cup whole wheat flour) and replaced regular brown and white sugar with the spenda blend. IThese cookies come out nice and crunchie which I love. Make a batch and see for your self how amazing my recipe is.
