All the basic recipes I looked at call for sweet relish, which I'm not overly fond of. I prefer it with dill. Obviously it would be lightened up with light or fat-free salad dressing, but even as it is, it's pretty good for the calorie price.
Warning - this is NOT a low-sodium recipe in any way, shape or form! It's probably not even to be considered healthy, but sometimes the pocketbook rules - it's cheap to make!
I HATE throwing food away! This recipe was the result of cleaning leftovers out of the fridge! Several Sparkrecipes will be reference, but they're out there to find.
These are super easy if you have leftover barbecue chicken. I calculated nutrition info from prepackaged chicken strips.
High sodium but great lunch idea. You can reduce salt by rinsing the sauerkraut, but it retracts from the flavor. I also use a lower sodium turkey breast but couldn't find it in the search engine.
Straight from the Jumpstart to Skinny book. I"m including the full recipe for those that want to alter it. Remember that Bob doesn't count vegetables from the list towards calories. If you want the values from the book, someone has already entered the items, or just copy the calories from the book:
265 calories, 27g protein, 25g carbs, 4g fat, 7g fiber
I was bored and threw a few things together. It was delicious. You could increase this recipe for more people or to cook extra chicken for leftovers.
