My mom used to make this recipe when we were younger. It is absolutely delicious, but not the healthiest. I made an attempt to make it a little healthier here.
I do not use salt so please salt as you wish. Try some sweet and sour sauce with these!
This is for a full meal of meatballs, marinara sauce and parmesan garlic bread. No noodles in the calculation.
Cabbage is a great substitute for rice in this dish. You could also use cauliflower instead of cabbage.
Mix beef, cream of mushroom soups, and onion soup mix and mushrooms all together in crock pot and cook for 5 to 6 hrs. or in oven for 3.
Tasty, Moroccan dish with lots of protein and fruit. Cut back on the honey if you don't want it so sweet. you can substitute prunes for the apricots and lamb or chicken for the beef. Serve over steamed couscous or quinoa (my fave, more protein) or scoop it up with good quality bread. A crisp, bright, middle-eastern salad will help cut the sweetness (use any veggies and olive oil with lemon juice for dressing.)
