Beef/Pork Recipes (Most Popular)
Awesome! I know it sounds like a weird combo, but trust me, this is wonderful! Tender, tangy pork chops!
This recipe has been in my family for years. Seems to be very popular with everyone. We often take it to potlucks and get rave reviews.
Marinade: Doesn't really count towards calorie count
MARINADE:
MARINADE:
1 large onion quartered
2 carrots peeled and halved
2 ribs celery halved
5 cloves garlic smashed
1 bottle Pinot Noir wine (750ml)
3 leaves fresh bay
4 lbs beef chuck roast cut into 1/2 inch cubes
Combine the onion, carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaves, and wine in a large bowl or container. Add the beef, cover, and let sit in the refrigerator overnight.
This is actually a couple recipes I found here that I combined and did a few things differently. I make a batch and then I will individually freeze the roll-up and then I have individual servings that I can eat. I also took some of the leftover wine that I had and added it to the water of the lasagna noodles. It is then called drunken pasta and just adds a little flavor to the noodles. Making it with ground turkey would be even better nutritionally or you could leave out the meat all together.
I came up with this one, when I couldn't decide on having either pasta or tacos. I also serve salad as a side dish with this.
These are fabulous meatballs wrapped in cabbage, then smothered in a tomato sauce. Delicious!
Preheat oven to 350*. In a large skillet brown beef and onion. Drain. In Large mixing bowl combine tomato soup, cabbage , rice and salt. Add meat and mix. Pour mix into 9x13 pan. Pour broth over mix and bake (covered) for 1 hr. Stir, replace cover and bake another 30 min.
Well, back in High School a friend of mine and I were hungry so we just threw a couple things together and came up with this.
My hubby made this one of the first times we ever made dinner together. I was unsure about it when he told me about it. But after I tried it I fell in love! :)
This recipe actually calls for Berbere, an Ethiopian spice, rather than Curry. However, red Curry can be used as a substitute.
