This is one of the few vegetable dishes that my young grandson loves, but without the onions. He said it was like the Rahmspinat he ate when he lived in Germany. I serve it to family and for company.
I have made this with Smart Balance buttery spread and skim milk. Do not 'overdo' the nutmeg.
A really filling twist on french toast. This is my version of one I found in Fitness Magazine.
Use for chicken or meat.
This will make about 2 1/2 Cups. I eat 1/4 cup per serving.
Had to use up my salsa before it went bad, so decided to make a relish to jazz up my meats and seafood. I used what was left in my jar (about 1.5 cups) of PC Original Recipe salsa. You want a salsa that's not chunky. This is very spicy once it's done.
This is a delicous and soft wheat bread! I use a mixture of whole wheat and unbleached bread flours (King Arthur brand) to make this a more fluffy, light, and palatable bread that is suitable for sandwiches of all types and anything else. For a nice look to the crust, I brush the top with honey and sprinkle rolled oats on top before I bake it (I did not include the oats and additional honey in the ingredients list because it is optional to add them!) This recipe makes one standard sized loaf. It turns out best if baked in a 10 inch professional loaf pan.
