I liked this recipe- very simple! I just changed the oil to unsweetened applesauce, the sugar to Splenda, and next time I will try adding a little liquid(lemon juice or milk) to the topping mix- it seemed just a little dry. All in all, a great recipe, though- will definitely become a staple!
My girls loved this so much they were singing the word FANTASTIC at breakfast this morning as they gobbled up their cake. I packed it in my husband's lunch today too so I can't wait to hear his reviews. I did change the topping and instead of using white sugar I used brown sugar.
Made this for Father's Day - forgot to grab something special at the store. Had all the ingredients in the cupboard for this thankfully. It turned out great - next time though I would add some vanilla and a small amount of sugar to the batter. I subsituted unsweetened applesauce for the oil.
Made this last night as a test for a family gathering this weekend. It wasn't "bad", persay, but I certainly didn't think it'd be worth the calories. Just not what I was looking for.
this cakes was sooo good and moist!!!! instead of milk, i used plain nonfat yogurt and it was excellent!!!perfect size for our family
