Nutrition & Calorie Comments

Where is the calorie count for the milk? and what are all those little dark specks?
Oh, wow! It's good, a cool, refreshing drink/dessert for after a salty meal like corned beef and cabbage.
Love Shamrock shakes but there full of calories...going to give this a try
I love smoothies and shakes as a meal replacements. I added some protein powder and include this shake in my meal plan.
Plain nonfat greek yogurt was measured out and threw it in the freezer for about 15 min. Also did try adding some fresh spinach for the green color vs. food coloring. Sweetener was about 1/4 tsp of agave, and taste. Can add more if needed. Did not add milk.
I used unsweetened almond milk, 30 calories per cup.
Pretty much empty calories. I like the substition ideas
Would love to try it but there seem to be so many carbs in a lot of the recipes on here.
I don't know if I would try this one as I try to keep my drinks at a much lower calorie level. I realize there is a sugar substitute and non fat milk, but it's just a little too high.
165 calories for one shake serving, not including the milk...!! What about this recipe is "skinny"? It may be delicious, but it has no place on a healthy-living website.
Thank you for sharing, but I think I will stick to a smoothie of non-fat Greek yogurt, kale/spinach, a few pieces of frozen banana, Matcha tea, nonfat milk or unsweetened Almond milk.
For a mom who has a son who loves the fast-food 600 calorie version, this is a great and fast alternative. He loved it just as much as the really green version, even without the whipped topping and maraschino cherry. I skipped the green food coloring and used Stevia. Everyone loved it.
I would think that plain nonfat Greek yogurt would be better than the frozen yogurt and fresh spinach leaves would be better than food coloring.. if a person has fresh mint that would be nice too.. Non-sweetened cashew milk is only 25 cals a cup it would help with the final calorie count.
How is this good for you? It looks like a chemical cancer storm. Green food coloring and non calorie sweetener? Not to mention, who-knows-what ingredients in your non-fat frozen yogurt and processed non-fat milk. No thank you. Anyone have a whole food friendly option? I like suggestions for mint.
If you look at the calorie breakdown of this recipe by ingredient,THE MILK IS NOT INCLUDED.

When you add in the milk, it's an additional 42 calories. Total for one serving is really 206.7.
My fresh mint plant is barely showing signs of life in Connecticut. Maybe some down south have an inside plant or early first harvest but I might be able to modify this in two months when It's either eat the mint or let it escape from the pot time. Might try some protein powder in this.
