Wow, I want to try these. I'm getting so burned out on beef all the time. Looks like a recipe I saw from the CHIP program I took last summer... I like the idea of using eggplant too - very high in fiber. Could grill it like I do for baba ghanooj and the resulting "smoky" flavor would be great!
This is a great, well-balanced Vegan protein option with wonderful taste . I made it a couple of days ago and froze the patties so they are ready when I am. Sort of like a Vegan Garden burger if you will. As for the folks with several dietary restrictions, this might not be the recipe for you.
With ingredients including wild rice, olive oil, and a nice variety of vegetables--I was anxious to try this recipe--and was very pleased. My only modifications (personal dietary preferences) were: using a salt-free seasoning blend and omitting the soy flour. A tasty burger well worth the effort.
Would like to know if the nutritional info includes the bun????
Sounds good- I would try it because I went to a nutrition workshop and meat free was hightly recommended.
