Excellent! Topped with parmesan instead of corn flakes. Used fat free milk instead of 2%.
This was very good. I lessened the fat & sodium content in my version. The family still enjoyed it. Will make again.
I made this for dinner tonight-great! I used garlic bread crumbs instead of cornflakes and reduced fat cheddar to cut a little fat. I also used Mrs. Dash garlic and herb and a tablespoon of minced garlic instead of garlic powder. A relatively easy recipe the whole family loved!
this is exactly the way I make mac and cheese and have been for years...without a recipe. It was nice to find something similar here all broken down as far as nutritional info. Yum!
i made a few changes to this recipe - used 1% milk and sifted in flour to make a white sauce without butter. added garlic powder, paprika and dijon mustard to sauce, stirred in fat free cream cheese, swiss, cheddar, monterrey jack. topped with cheddar instead of bread crumbs. yummy.
I made this last night. Instead of the corn flakes, I used organic whole grain flakes and it not only gave it great nutty flavor, but also boosted the fiber.
