If unsalted butter is used, there needs to be at least some extra salt added to the recipe. We've always used salted butter for this recipe.
Very nice cookies. I used 1 1/2 cup ground pecans instead of 1. Like most wedding cookies, the first layer of powdered sugar gets sticky and clumpy, so I re-rolled them after they were fully cool.
