Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I changed the recipe slightly when I made pizza. I used 1/2 tsp of Italian seasoning instead of marjoram, added 1/2 teaspoon of sugar and 1/8 lemon juice. The results were amazing. I had to convince people that I wasn't trying to fool them with actual pizza hut pizza.
I worked for Pizza Hut as a store manager ,back in the day when we made our own sauce pizza crust and Pizza sauce from scratch.the only thing missing from this recipe is the sugar.we didnt use marjoram we used italian spicess .the amounts we used were larger since we made a 5 gallon bucket everday.
stupid people post stupid things and dishonest people post dishonest things. The Pizza hut clone recipe is BOGUS. Pizza hut uses SUGAR in their recipe and their is no sugar in the above recipe. Why are are nit wits allowed to post?
I worked at Pizza Hut for years and I can verify that this recipe is very close. I added some red pepper flakes to give it that bit of zing. I want to try it next time with a salt substitute as well.
I made this sauce and LOVE IT! I used italian seasoning instead of marjoram, since I didn't have any. I also used garlic salt instead of regular, and added just a dash of red pepper flakes to add some kick. It was WONDERFUL, and the perfect consistency for pizza!
