Nutrition & Calorie Comments

A great little cookie/cake. I have also used lemon flavouring and then added 1 tsp cinnamon to the powdered sugar for a lemon spice cake. There are so many ways to make these into a variety of flavours with different coatings.
I made this with 1/2 cup powdered sugar instead of 1/4, after seeing the 1-star review here, and the dough texture/sweetness was fine. It formed nice balls even without chilling so I think it would have been workable even with 1/4 cup. My cookies came out great. I did roll in sugar the 2nd time.
I think the powdered sugar amount is wrong?! Dough is absolutely disgusting! Basically it is just butter & shortening with some flavouring. Plus once it is mixed together it is not a dry dough which is another reason why I think it is missing more sugar!
