I have made this twice. The recipe left out oil in the ingredients list. I used olive oil. I even adapted this recipe for cooking in an iron skillet on a camping trip and it turned out good. Even my adult son, who isn't much of a sweet potatoe fan, said this was really good and ate a big helping! - 9/27/09

This was good! I'm not usually a fan of sweet potato, but the rosemary and garlic gave them a nice flavor. I used some non-stick cooking spray instead of oil, and shook it all together in a Ziplock bag, as previously suggested. Needed to cook a little longer than 30 min. to be done. I'd make again. - 8/28/09

I didn't particularly care for the recipe as written. It seems like there is a flavor lacking. I ended up adding a little salt & garlic powder to the mix, and that helped. I also tried dipping the original mix (before salt/garlic) in salsa. Both made it edible, but definitely not my favorite. - 7/15/09

I make something similar to this regularly, except that I quarter the potato and parboil it first. The sweet potato doesn't need parboiled. I'll either drizzle olive oil over the top or I will heat saved meat fat until it is spitting then carefully put the root veg in the hot fat and turn it once. - 1/20/09

I LOVED this simple dish. I make roasted red potatoes often, but had never added sweet potatoes before. They really were delicious together and its a great way to add more vitamin A to a meal! I left out the rosemary and used fresh chppoed garlic instead of garlic powder. My hubby even loved them! - 10/2/07
