I tried these with 'lite-white' pita bread. Sprinkled them with Italian herbs and garlic powder, then sprayed with olive oil spray. Great, and filling! I will try with a little cajun spice sprinkled over the next batch, just to try a different flavour. Great basic recipe with endless variations. - 5/24/09

I didn't have any pita bread handy so I took some 6 inch tortillas I had and did this with them, I added some italian seasoning, and cooked for a little bit less time and they turned out amazing! - 8/2/09

YES...these are fabulous. I used cooking spray, garlic powder, a little season salt and dried parsley. I save the bag the pitas came in and when they cool I place them right back in there. Why waste a ziploc bag, right? - 7/18/08

I also make pita chips by spraying the chips with canola or olive oil spray and sprinkling them with cinnamon and Splenda or xylitol before baking. Yummy also! - 7/14/09

Very easy to make! I doubled the garlic, added garlic & onion powder & cracked black pepper to the oil. I also found it best to mix the oil & let it steep for a day or 2. More intense flavors! It doesn't take much oil to coat them. I used a zipper baggy to make it easier to "brush" the chips. - 3/10/09

I actually make these plain, just a light spray of olive oil, to eat with salsa & fat free sour cream. It completely kills my craving for potato chips & dip, my weakness in the evenings. - 7/25/09

Wonderful! I love pita chips, but hate paying high prices for a tiny bag at the grocery store. I had never considered making them at home. They turned out great! My husband said he would prefer them with some sort of dip (which would be good) but I like them by themselves. Lots of flavor! - 5/13/08

I love this recipe! Although, I like it better when the oven is a little bit hotter and the chips are a little crisper. It's a good one to play around with that way! - 9/5/08

Yuuuumeee! When my fat intake is a little high for the day, I forgo the olive oil and simply spray with butter Pam. It's nearly as delicious and really kills my cravings for crunch! Garlic powder instead of the minced garlic works well when you're in a rush, whole wheat pita is higher in fiber! - 7/18/08

I am so excited to find this recipe! I've been wanting to find a substitute for unhealthy chips and dip, and this is it! These were delicious and were perfect for dipping in spicy hummus! I added a sprinkling of Lawry's Salt-free 17 seasoning for some extra flavor. My husband loved them, too! - 7/26/09

Brilliant idea, especially as my weekeness is crisps.
