Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 1/4 cups white flour
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 1/2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk

    1/4 cup Splenda or sugar
    about 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (more/less)

    few drops red food coloring

Directions

Mix together all dry ingredients
Add liquids and blend.

Make pancakes!

Makes about 12 pancakes, more or less depending on size. I topped with cream cheese frosting.

Serving Size: Approx 12 pancakes

    These were tasty but all three of my girls stated that this wasn't Red Velvet but just chocolate chocolate chip. I even added red food coloring to try and get the color but with 10 tbs of cocoa it just wasn't gonna happen. Thanks for sharing ! - 12/27/11

    I leave out the food coloring and use 2 tbsp concentrated beet juice for color. Very pretty and adds sweetness, so I don't use as much sugar. - 5/12/18
