I LOVE this bread. Been making it for ages from allrecipes.com. You can also grind up the oatmeal first if you don't like the big flakes in there. I make it both ways. There is also lots of room for add-ins: raisins and cinnamon, apples, cinnamon and nutmeg, pumpkin seeds and poppy seeds... - 3/13/09

YUMMY. I used 2T honey bc other reviews suggested it could use more flavor. I think it's wonderful plain but definitely delicious with butter! Mine never formed a dough though. I don't think an extra 1/2T honey would make such a difference, but somehow mine ended up a batter requiring a loaf pan. - 9/24/12

What an easy recipe, & the bread is delicious! I doubled the recipe & used a loaf pan. NOTE: I added 10 minutes to the bake time, for a total of 30, which was just right for this larger loaf. - 2/3/13

I made it. I thought it was good, but the main flavors were baking soda and salt. It needs more of something. Perhaps more oats? Or butter instead of oil? It was fairly easy, and I'd like to try making it again, but I want to change something . . . - 11/23/10

I did not like this bread. I don't know what I was expecting but this wasn't it. I agree with the reviewer who said the bread tastes like salt and baking powder. I doubled the recipe to make a whole loaf. I think it might be better with some of the sweet additions mentioned by other reviewers. - 2/4/12

This is wonderful. I've made it 2x now; once with honey, once with molasses instead because I was low on honey. Each time, precisely by the recipe (except the molasses-instead-of-honey) it was delicious. Thank you-it's definitely in our rotation! :-) - 10/17/19

I thought it was good but I hadt to add more flour and oats. As a result it didn't have much flavor. - 1/27/19

how interesting--a quick bread baked like a french loaf! We love breads with oats in them so I will try this soon, thanks for posting! Using it as a cereal sounds good too; Grape Nuts are actually toasted bread crumbs. - 4/23/13

I really like this bread, it did end up in a batter though even though I followed the recipe, had to add more oats and flour but its really nice with honey or peanut butter, I could just eat that alone for lunch and breakfast - 3/19/13

I love this bread! It is quick, filling and tastes so good. I made a loaf and gave it to a friend and she was delighted. She toasts it in her toaster oven before adding toppings! I added a quarter cup of flour because my flour was finely ground. - 1/27/13
