I didn't have any dry onion soup mix and I'm just not a red wine person. I added a cup of low sodium vegetable broth and 3/4 cup of white wine and it turned out yummy. I poured the juices over boiled new potatoes. Next time I'll try it with the soup mix as suggested but will keep the white wine. - 11/16/12

I used Worcestershire sauce, added a some Mrs. Dash, left in the crock pot for 5-5 1/2 hours, which really made it fork tender. however i think i will skip the red wine sauce next time. I can still smell the wine , very little but im not a big wine drinker so. Husband like it very much, 2 servings - 11/3/09

This sounds good and I am going to try tomorrow (without soy to keep sodium down, plus not big fan), but I was thinking it might be nice over spaghetti squash that I just bought to try to use instead of pasta, since it's in season and so easy. That's my suggestion for making it a full meal! - 10/6/09

This recipe is a winner. Super tender & tasty. I made a couple of adjustments after reading some of the comments here. I rubbed the pork with the onion soup mix and browned it in a cast iron pan on top of stove. Added everything to the slow cooker but cooked on high for 3.5 hours. Incredibly tender! - 2/16/16

I'm using Worschestershire instead of soy, since that is what I have on hand. I have all ingredients in one of those slow coooker liners & will marinate tonight and have my husband start before he goes to work (he's 2nd shift & I'm 1st for a 10 hr day). We'll see how it turns out tomorrow night. - 4/14/10
